SAACHACK (Security/Smart city Augmentation reality Artificial intelligence Cloud HACKathon) 2018 is a 24 hours Hackathon organized by Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai. The motto of SAACHACK is Making Ideas into Reality. SAACHACK refers to technological invention dash that occurs over a period of 24 hours consecutively to program software and hardware for solving a real world design challenge.
To provide a platform for the students to showcase their coding and implementation skills by making their learning interesting. To make the student community to explore new technologies, drive business innovation and encourage ownership for a social cause.
Fraud Risk Management, Revamping Marketing & Advertising Strategy, Fighting Disabilities, Combating Natural Disasters, Smart Cities, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing & Automation.
Students will be able to breed Innovations from ideation to execution within a highly-compressed timescale. They will be able to develop their ideas into products and build a community for collaborating with innovators.
3 prizes with certificates will be awarded to the Winners and Runners. Announcements on Prizes will be informed shortly.
Who can participate?: Students from AICTE/ UGC/ IIT/ NIT/ other Govt. approved institutions. The admission of teams to the competition is on a first-come, first-served basis and is to be limited to not more than 50 teams.
The team can consist of 4 members at max. but not less than 2. Members may be from different academic levels but should be from the same institution.
Once a problem is chosen, it cannot be changed. Teams can choose any one from the given tracks. Teams should submit partial solutions along with abstract to the committee first. After scrutiny, selected teams can participate in the event.
Remaining problem will be given on the day of hackathon. Teams should complete the task within 24 hours. Teams can use an idea they had before the event. All the remaining work on the project should be completed at the time of the Hackathon.
Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed.
Adding new features to existing projects is allowed. But new functionality introduced / new feature added during the hackathon only will be considered for prizes. Teams must stop hacking once the time is up but they are allowed to debug/make small fixes.
Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers' discretion at any time. Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, breaking the Code of Conduct, or other unsporting behavior.
