Dr. P. K. Nagarajan, Principal of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, He completed a Ph.D. in Heat Transfer from the prestigious National Institute of Technology,Trichy. He has 21 years of experience in Teaching & Research. He guided five research scholars for their Ph.D. in various research areas like Heat transfer enhancement using augmentation techniques, Biodiesel, Solar desalination and Nanofluids. He is also guiding four research scholars in the area of Energy and Nanotechnology under Anna University, Chennai. He Visited University of Applied Science, Aachen, Solar Institute, Julich Germany and Technical University Eindhoven, Netherlands Under European Union – Asia link program. He executed DST funded project titled “Performance enhancement of micro finned heat exchanger using Nanofluids'' under Young Scientist Scheme worth of 19.38 lakhs during 2013-16 and also conducted CSIR funded “National level workshop on Nanofluids Characterization and applications” He has published 42 Scopus indexed International peer reviewed journal papers. He is a life member in Institution of Engineers (IE) India.
Dr. Sundar completed his Bachelor's degree, B.E. (ECE), in 1979 at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and his Masters degree, M. Tech, in 1981 at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He obtained Ph.D in 1994 from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has over 38 years of combined academic and industrial experience. He had been a faculty in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 1987 till 1999. From 1999 till 2011, he has been in the Industry driving, guiding and mentoring technical teams in state-of-the-art development and implementation of systems solutions and products. Listed below are some of the major activities handled by him when in Industry.
From November 2011, he was heading the Department of ECE at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai. From 2014, he was heading the
“Centre for Sponsored Research and Consultancy” and the "Centre of Excellence in Machine Vision - A TIFAC-CORE Lab"at Rajalakshmi
Engineering College. Currently, he is the Director of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology.
His areas of specialization include Machine-Vision Solutions, MEMS & Microfluidics, Video-Streaming-over-IP, System-on-Chip Architectures, Voice-over-Packet Systems, Embedded Systems Design, Digital Signal Processing, Speech Technologies, Digital Systems and VLSI Design.
He has several research publications & conference papers to his credit. He has several on-going and completed sponsored projects from DRDO-ER & IPR, DST-TSDP, DST-IDP, GTRE-DRDO, RCI-DRDO and DST-Sensors in different areas of technology.
Dr. M. Velan is the Dean Engineering - Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai has over two decades of teaching experience. He was formerly Director of Centre for Constituent Colleges, Anna University, Chennai, Head and Professor of Department of Chemical Engineering, A.C.Tech Campus, Anna University, Chennai. He holds a Ph.D. (Chemical Engg) from IIT Madras, did M.Tech (Chem. Engg), at A.C.Tech campus, Anna University, B.Tech (Chem. Engg), at A.C.Tech campus, Anna University, Chennai. His areas of interest include, development of multiphase reactor for environmental and biochemical applications, biodegradation of aromatic compounds, production of biodiesel through enzymatic route and removal of heavy metals and dyes using algae as bio sorbents. He has published several papers in national and international journals, besides guiding several research scholars. He is a life member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. He has received an award for Best paper in Green Technology and Environmental Conservation, India.
