Dr. Haree Shankar Meganathan is a radiologist by training and an educationist by passion, serving as Vice Chairman of Rajalakshmi Institutions. Under his leadership, the group continues to expand across engineering, healthcare, management, K-12, and digital learning. He is also driving innovation in medical education, renewable energy, and professional upskilling through digital learning initiatives.

Haree Shankar Meganathan
Vice Chairman at Rajalakshmi Institutions, a 25 year old group with presence in Engineering, Healthcare, Management, K-12 and Digital Learning education. Our group also has interests in renewable energy and automobile dealerships. My background as a qualified radiologist has provided a solid foundation for my foray into the healthcare sector. Our group has recently forayed into MBBS medical education with Rajalakshmi Medical College and Hospital. Additionally, I have ventured into the realm of digital learning, founding Rajalakshmi Eduverse, a rapidly growing upskilling platform which focuses on working professionals.

Dr. Maheswari R
Dr. Maheswari R, Principal of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, is an accomplished academic leader with over 24 years of experience in academia and industry. She specializes in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, and is a certified KNIME Data Analyst. She has published research in reputed journals and secured over ₹2 Crore in research grants from AICTE, ICMR, and DST. She has received several prestigious awards, including the Dr. Abdul Kalam Award (2024), Lifetime Achievement Award (2024), and Academic Excellence Award (2025). Dr. Maheswari R has established multidisciplinary Centers of Excellence, strengthened global collaborations with universities and industry partners, introduced new programs in emerging technologies, and actively promotes innovation, research, and internships with premier institutions such as IITs, CSIR, and ISRO, contributing significantly to academic excellence and institutional growth.
Dr. Sundar R
Director of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, has over 38 years of experience in academia and industry. He completed his B.E. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, M.Tech and Ph.D from IIT Madras. He served as faculty at IIT Madras and later worked in industry leading advanced technology development in System-on-Chip, embedded systems, and video streaming solutions. He also headed key research centers at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, including the Centre for Sponsored Research and the TIFAC-CORE Centre of Excellence in Machine Vision. His expertise includes Machine Vision, Embedded Systems, DSP, VLSI Design, and he has several research publications and funded projects from DRDO and DST.

Our Institution
Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology is being established under the Aegis of SABARI FOUNDATION in the year 2008 and it is a new entrant to the Rajalakshmi Group of Institutions being run since 1997.
