    Highlights:


    Network Monitoring – Seminar

    On the occasion of Programmers day, The first event of the academic year 2021-2022 of Techsparks club, a seminar on “Network Monitoring” was conducted.This is the 22nd event of Techsparks club. This seminar was held on 13-09-2021 between 1:30 to 2.30 Pm at A2-03 Alan Turing Block, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology. The event commenced with a welcome address to all the participants of II & III year of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology by the Vice-President of Techsparks club Ms. Buvaneshwari M(III ECE A). She gave introduction to the speaker of the event, Mr.Lokesh B of II Year AI&DS department, who had a great passion towards cyber security and a certified ethical Hacker.






    Blind Coding

    The 23rd event of the Techsparks Club, “BLIND CODING” was held on 19.10.2021 between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM at A2-02 in Alan Turing Block, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology. 21 participants from II and III year of various departments actively participated in this event. There were 2 rounds with 2 questions each. For the 1st round, python programming questions were asked and for the 2nd round, questions were asked in C programming language. Questions were allotted based on the slot method. Participants coded for the problem given with the computer screen off during the whole coding session. They were not permitted to switch on or look at their screens during the coding process. The session judge was called to switch on the screen and the output was verified. After the 1st round, some basic challenge tasks were given to the participants like questionnaires on programming languages, lip reading challenge, tongue twisters. The students participated with full enthusiasm and the event was so useful in refreshing the programming skills of the students.






    Crud Operations

    The 24th event of Techsparks Club, seminar on ‘CRUD OPERATIONS’ was held on 22-11-2021 from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM at Green building, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology. Totally 50 participants from II and III year of various departments actively participated in this event. The event geared up with the welcome address by the club spokesperson, Ms. Sherin of II CSE. The session speaker Mr. Venkatasriram S (III CSE) gave an introduction database, how data is stored and accessed. The types, operations, keys of database (update, delete, create) were clearly explained by him. Next, installation of Python, SQLLite3 process was shown in demo for all participants. SQL lite, python program was executed using SQL code. The session focused on CRUD operations. The speaker concluded the webinar discussing about the recent trends in the same field. The participants answered all coding based question which were asked and even they clarified their doubts. The students participated with full enthusiasm and the event was so useful in refreshing the programming skill on SQL, Python ,Database for the students.




    Problem Solving Through Programming

    The 25th event of Techsparks Club, seminar on ‘PROBLEM SOLVINGTHROUGH PROGRAMMING’ was held on 11-12-2021 from 10:00 AM -11:40 AM at Green building, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology. Totally 55 participants from I year of CSE department actively participated in this event. The event geared up with the welcome address by the club presenter, Ms. Samikksha K. The session speaker Ms. G. Kalpana gave an introduction on problem solving, with different methods of problem solving and how to select desired results based on the given constraints using the problem solving cycle. Also, she explained about what programming is and various fields where programming is used. The most important was building blocks of programming, that is algorithm, pseudocode and flowchart. Then, she gave some introduction to python and its basic working operations were explained. She concluded the seminar discussing the basic python programs. The participants eagerly participated and answered all programming based questions which were asked and even clarified their doubts with the speaker. The students participated with full enthusiasm and the event was so useful in giving an idea about the programming skill in Python for the students. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Techsparks club President, Ms. Lakshmi C R (III CSE B).




    Structured Query Language

    The 26th event of Techsparks Club, seminar on ‘STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE’ was held on 30.04.2022 from 01:30PM -03:00PM at RSB Green building 4th floor, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology. The event geared up with welcome address by the club presenter, Ms. Rithika (III ECE). The objective of the program is to enhance the programming knowledge of student in SQL with basic such as this language allows handling the information using tables and shows a language to query these tables and other objects related (views, functions, procedures, etc.). The event was conducted in virtual mode as well as offline at seminar hall in green building with active participants connected through Zoom meeting. The session speaker Dr.Mohan A, Professor, Department of Information Security , Instutite of Computer Science and Engineering ,Saveetha University Chennai.
