Road Safety Rally and Saplings distribution

The 'Road Safety Rally and Sapling Distribution' event was organized by Green Voice Global to spread awareness about road safety. UBA contributed to the cause by providing volunteers along with the NSS & YRC clubs of RIT. We marched from Mylapore Kutchery Road Signal to Santhome Church Signal. The rally was followed by an informative speech by Dr. Sam Benett, Inspector of Police- Traffic, and Mr. C. S. Veerraghavan, Founder & Director, Green Voice Global.

Back To The Days- Maypoor Thandal

Back To The Days was conducted on account of our heritage day. UBA volunteers along with YRC and NSS enthusiastically took part in the event. The students were provided with lots of knowledge about and heritage. Various activities were conducted like:

• An informative skit about Indian heritage was performed, led by Hemavathy R and Nitheesh S.
• Games related to Heritage were conducted by Ally Mercy and her team in order to provide a fun learning environment.
• A drawing competition was conducted for all classes by Keerthana R.
• Fun activities like music and dance were also organized by Karunya N and her team.

Rewards were given to the winners of drawing competition and games. We gifted a few plantations to the school as a token of gratitude. The students and our volunteers enjoyed the event to a great extent. We received positive feedbacks from the teachers of the school. The college provided us with refreshments and transportation.

Gift few Drops – Blood Donation Camp-RIT

The YRC club of Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology conducted a blood donation camp on 9th April 2022 together with Annai Teresa Blood Bank and Aphresis Center. The members of UBA club volunteered to help and ensured a smooth flow throughout the event. With the coordination of our volunteers, the event achieved a milestone of 100+ donors.

Women’s Empowerment Awarness- Kuthambakkam

The orators addressed the gathering at kuthambakkam village regarding women's empowerment. The event was very interactive and fun. The village women shared their experiences and hardships with our club members. Our orators provided them with awareness about the various schemes and programs initiated by the government for women's empowerment. We encouraged them to send their girl child for higher studies and work. They also raised awareness about specific health issues and measures to be taken. More events have been planned to be conducted for women's empowerment. Refreshments were provided by the college.
